Trianel Gasspeicher Epe again offers very fast interruptible capacities for one and two years

Aachen, Epe. Trianel Gasspeicher Epe GmbH & Co. KG is once again marketing storage capacities on an interruptible basis for one or two years. The municipal storage operator is once more auctioning highly flexible storage products with a total volume of 315 GWh for the storage years 2026/27 and 2027/28.

‘Two years ago, we successfully met the needs of storage customers by providing greater flexibility and improved planning security with these products,’ explains Carsten Haack, Managing Director of Trianel Gasspeicher Epe GmbH Co. KG. ‘These optimized products have generated great interest in the market. Despite the current challenging market environment, we expect demand to remain high due to the significant price volatility in the gas market and the exceptionally high utilization of the currently marketed capacities.’

This year's auction comprises a maximum of nine lots, each with a working gas volume of 35 GWh, an injection capacity of 200 MW and a withdrawal capacity of 400 MW. The lots will once again be auctioned in two bidding processes. As in previous years, the storage lots awarded in the second auction will be interrupted before those from the first auction.

In both bidding processes, interested parties can choose to submit bids for the 2026/27 storage year only or for two storage years (2026/27 and 2027/28).

The first bidding procedure ends on May 22, 2025, 11:00 a.m. (CET). 
The second bidding procedure ends on May June 22, 2025, 14:00 (CET).
